Why Every Brand Needs Professional Tech Packs
A tech pack is the document that tells a factory exactly how to make your garment. It includes flat sketches showing every seam and detail, a bill of materials listing every component, a measurement chart for every size, construction notes explaining how to assemble the garment, and colorway specifications.
Without a tech pack you are relying on verbal descriptions and reference photos. That works fine until your factory interprets “slightly longer” differently than you meant it, or uses a different stitch type because you did not specify, or puts the label in the wrong position because there was no specification document.
A professional tech pack eliminates ambiguity. Every detail is documented, measured, and specified. The factory cannot guess wrong because there is nothing left to guess. This saves you money on unnecessary sample revisions and reduces your defect rate in production.
